There's no Younes Kaboul (knee knock). He hasn't travelled but might be fit for Sunday's game against Southampton. Others that stayed back at home: Emmanuel Adebayor has a brace (hamstring & heel), Paulinho (calf) and Kyle Walker (pelvis).
Jan Vertonghen is suspended. Vlad Chiriches (been out for a while now), Michael Dawson, Mousa Dembele and Erik Lamela are injured/recovering from injuries.

Tim Sherwood has reference the blatantly obvious that this is going to be a difficult (impossible) task but '...we owe it the fans who have travelled here and those watching on TV to do ourselves justice'.
We'd need to side step into the Twilight Zone to stand any chance of pulling this game back into our favour. I'm not watching with any expectations but very curious to see if we sit deep and defend with damage limitation in mind or whether we actually look to just attack and to hell with it all as long as we give a good positive account of ourselves. Considering we failed to do that in the first leg when we fielded a stronger side and the fact the Twilight Zone is a television series and not an accessible dimension - we're screwed.

Elsewhere Sherwood also answered questions aimed at the continued van Gaal rumours.

The fact that Sherwood keeps repeating the 'I'll still be here' soundbite with no public echo of support from the chairman suggests he won't be. Seems determined enough but arguably there's more chance of Daniel Levy retaining his services as first team coach as there is Tottenham scoring three goals tonight.
